We need to name a 25 man squad, plus an unlimited number of under 21 year old players (born on or after 1st January 1990). At least 8 of these 25 have to be "home grown", which means trained at English / Welsh clubs for 3 years between the ages of 16 & 21. We have 11 players who currently qualify! If you project forward a further 12 months you'll see that 7 players were born in 1990. When the 2012-2013 season starts, all of them will be classed as "over 21", so how many of that cohort will still be at United?
